Yes, the good old WOF that seems to come up with regular monotony! Actually it’s only every 6 months for cars over 6 years, and 12 months for newer cars. And it’s a good thing! Why? Because, aside from being a legal requirement, it is designed to check that your car is safe to be on the road.
WOFs check that your brakes are up to scratch (not good if they aren’t!!), your indicators are working, headlights and brake lights are working, handbrake is working, tyres have enough tread on them to keep you from sliding all over the show, wipers are good … all of those things.
It also highlights anything that is starting to show a bit of wear and tear so helps get those things sorted BEFORE they turn into a hazard for you.
Because we are not a testing station, we ask you to book an appointment for your WOF – this means you don’t have to wait in line for half an hour. You have your time set aside so you just walk in, the space is reserved especially for you, the guys know you’re coming, and all you need to do is sit back with a coffee, a paper or magazine and let the guys check your car is safe and sound.
We will then send you a reminder when your next WOF is due.
